Boris Kolev is a technology entrepreneur and serial founder of companies and projects in the fields of digital technologies, software, innovation, and biotechnology. His early interest in programming and software development led him to create the web design studio JT Design<\/a> while still in high school. Upon reaching adulthood, he founded JT International<\/a>, which quickly grew into a group of several marketing and technology subsidiaries. By 2007, the group included also NetMark, the first social media advertising company, and BlueMark, a company specializing in Bluetooth advertising to mobile devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2011, he founded DigiMark<\/a>, a software company focused on mobile apps development, which Computerworld ranked among the fastest-growing IT companies in Bulgaria for several consecutive years. In 2018, DigiMark was acquired by the German technology group Devexperts. Boris is also a co-founder of several Bulgarian startups, including nPloy<\/a>, Nutrigen<\/a>, Entravel<\/a>, as well as the micro-VC company DigiMark Ventures<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the recent years, Boris has been managing the digital transformation of Junior Achievement<\/a>, the world\u2019s oldest and largest educational non-profit organization in fields of entrepreneurship, economics and financial literacy, where he is holding the positions of \u201cHead of Digital Transformation\u201d at JA Europe<\/a>, and, as of September 2024, \u201cGlobal Head of Technology\u201d at JA Worldwide<\/a>. The organization educates more than 19 million young people annually in over 114` countries and also coordinates the \u201cEuropean Code Week (#EUCodeWeek),\u201d which brings coding skills to more than 4 million Europeans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its founding 20 years ago, Boris and the JT Design team have consistently relied on open-source CMS platforms like Joomla and WordPress, with the company\u2019s portfolio now containing over 800 client projects, most of which are based on WordPress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
