Hear, hear to our next speaker Diana Ivanova who will get out of her comfort zone and will get on stage for the first time ever at WordCamp Sofia 2017! She is a young tech enthusiast, who is passionate about WordPress, web design, development and digital marketing.
Diana is a contributor to the WordPress community and is excited to participate at WordCamp Sofia as a lecturer. Let’s see what she shared about herself, about her specialty and what got her into WordPress in the first place:
Hey Diana, can you introduce yourself?
My name is Diana I’d like to think that I am coming from a long line of evolution success , but I think the short answer would just be Sofia, Bulgaria. What’s your specialty?
An amazing chocolate cake! Oh, you mean WordPress specialty-I think I’m doing pretty well with hacked sites (not hacking them of course, but protecting them, you know – like a superhero!).How many languages do you speak?
I speak English (can you tell?), and am brilliant with the Bulgarian language (the fact that I myself am a Bulgarian has nothing to do with that!)What was your first encounter with WordPress?
My first encounter was in high school we had a “Web design” class in the last year of high school, but honestly – I was like John Snow back then – I knew nothing! My first real meeting with WordPress was actually not long after I graduated when I started working with multiple content management systems, when I actually fell in love with WordPress and how smooth and easy everything is with WordPress! What is the best WordPress advice you have ever received?
”Install WordPress and just try it for yourself” – That is the best advice I got and because of that advice I am now here. What is your motivation to speak at WordCamp Sofia 2017?
When I first came to WordCamp – the speakers I saw back then, and what they had to say – that motivated me to become a better professional, to dive even deeper into the matter and to master everything I could that is WordPress related. I want to perhaps motivate others to stop being afraid to try, to dive deeper into the WordPress universe/or Multiverse and to simply have fun, as even the worst cases have their fixes and nothing is scary when it comes to WordPress! How did you you choose the topic of your talk?
I see a lot of people who constantly get their sites hacked, so though that I could perhaps help them find out how to clean and protect their site in future. It is very common for sites to get hacked, after all the most popular cms is WordPress, it gets quite the attention from all directions, so it’s not so uncommon for our WordPress site to get hacked, but it’s really important to know what to do after you get hacked and how to deal with the situation in general!
Diana will share with us what happens if you get hacked and want to find a fast and efficient way to get back on track after that. She will show you the way in her Got hacked!? What now? talk where she’ll guide you through a ‘cleaning hacked code’ adventure!
